From hearing pretty negative stories about Evergreen, I was hesitant for a loved one to be a part of this home. However, with the knowledge of new administration, I took the chance. This was the BEST thing I could’ve done. The new administration team has brought a TON of new staff members in to the building, and they all bring a whole new attitude and display of care to the facility. Donna runs a tight ship, but is wonderful. I love the activities they do with the residents and the sense of a home feel in the building. The grounds are beautiful, especially now as things are starting to bloom! I really do recommend this place and people should give it another look.
If you truly love and value your loved one PLEASE don't send them to evergreen. A very special lady to me was placed there about a month ago and there hasn't been a day that there hasn't been several issues wrong. I go in there daily to check in on her I pop in on all shifts. I marked the back of her brief one afternoon when I changed her and came back 24 hrs later at 5:15 am and she still had the same brief on for over 24 hrs. I've walked in to find dirty gloves and wipes with poop on them on the floor. In the same clothes for days, room always a mess, aides not doing there jobs correctly and getting away with it and I can go on and on and on. I will give credit where it is do. There has been one amazing aide they has done an excellent job and that is Pamela Mills. also we couldn't have gotten her room fixed up without the help of Billy the head of maintenance as well as Penny head of housekeeping. Huge thank you to those 3 people SHAME on the rest of you!!!
