If you're geriatric, it is a great place to be! You can treat other gym goers with disrespect. interject yourself into the middle of others exercises and equipment make snide remarks! Then when they are talked to as a grown up, they cry and complain to staff, or the trainers run and get "daddy," perpetuating a victimhood mentality. They lost a member today due to the inability to arbitrate the situation with unprofessional interruptions during the conversation. Then when addressed, with said staff member, in the conversation they kept interrupting. Ultimately that is why they lost the member, the staff is unable to converse politely.

The facilities are clean and well-maintained. When you enter the building, there is a welcome desk. The gym is to your left, and the physical rehab area is to your right. The gym itself has a large floor with cardio, machines, and a really large, separate crossfit/multi-use area. They have lots of group classes, including spin, aquatics, weight lifting, cardio, dance, and more. There is a children's center as well that is clean and well-staffed. I personally appreciate they have a no-cellphone policy, which means no phones in the locker rooms and no Facetime/calls/speaker use on the gym floor.

Valley Health Wellness and Fitness Center is the best equipped, cleanest, and best staffed gym I've ever belonged to. It's a hike for me to get to from Front Royal but it's absolutely worth it. Besides enough machines to equip two total gyms, they have two indoor pools (warm therapy and cold lap), sauna, steam room, mens, womens and family dressing rooms, lots of classes, and a kids club. Everyone who works with clients holds a university degree in health, fitness or therapy, too, which I find comforting. Generous hours, seven days a week and plenty of parking. For all that, it's comparable to other monthly fees I've paid.
