Krav Maga of Hampton Roads is so much more than a studio for teaching martial arts; it’s a platform to instruct young people on how to do EVERYTHING the right way. The time my children have spent in the Tigers and Juniors classes has been invaluable in sharpening their tools as human beings, from the right way to address adults, to manners, to taking care of themselves, their pets and the people they love. Mr. Shorts, Miss Taylar and the other instructors are committed to building community and empowering the next generation to be safe, resilient, and disciplined. I would recommend any parents in the area looking for an avenue for their children to thrive to look into joining this invaluable organization.

Reviews
This KM program and the trainers are fantastic. Our son has a strong personality, he’s been stubborn and argumentative since he was a toddler. We started Krav Maga as a way of harnessing his energy and hoped it would be an additional way for him to learn to be respectful of authority figures. Every week, the students hear the message of being a good kid, a good person, and challenging them to work hard. Mr Shorts taught our son that “there’s a right way and a wrong way”. We use this phrase in our home now. These lessons are just the backup parents need for our children- carrying over what they’re learning in class to helping out at home and being grateful for family. The culture is every bit as valuable as the activity and exercise itself. Thank you to Mr Shorts and Miss Taylar for the training, consistency and care! 5 stars!
My daughter and I enjoy attending the classes! Not only are we learning self defense, I have seen my daughter grow into a confident and competitive 6yo since she has started! I appreciate the family centered practice within the teaching and events!
