I’ve been coming here about 10 months and it’s really grown my love for yoga and practicing. Most of the teachers are so welcoming and provide great instruction. However, I do notice as a woman of color a clear difference in how I’m greeted by certain workers (if at all). And this past Sunday during 75 minute Hot Yoga, cold towels were giving out to the class but somehow, I was the only one in class who didn’t receive one. I absolutely love Zen Hot Yoga in Virginia Beach! I practiced there for two years before moving away, and I miss it so much. The instructors are calming, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. Their class schedule was perfect for my lifestyle, and I always found a time that worked for me. I got in the best shape of my life, and my aches and pains virtually disappeared. Hands down, the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to!
I have been practicing here for many years and can’t say enough good things. It’s a very welcoming environment, with excellent experienced teachers and friendly fellow yogis. They offer a good variety of classes to cater to all ability levels and continue to provide challenges to experienced practitioners.
