Blair and the entire Office staff were top notch! From the moment we stepped in the door we were promptly greeted, checked-in, and informed as to what was happening for our visit. Blair was amazing! Very thorough and spoke in a manner in which we could understand and follow, not using very complex medical jargon that's difficult to follow. I wish we lived closer and could visit the clinic more often.

Originally loved this clinic but now will never go back. Went in to have a bump on my dog's mouth and black spot on her tooth looked at. The vet (Dr. Michelle Hoffman), who they called their GSD expert, was extremely cold and made myself and my partner feel like we were being talked down to. She did not even look at the red blemish nor did she ask questions about it but immediately wanted to schedule surgery for it to be removed because a spot on a dog was "extremely concerning." She wasn't even concerned about the spot on the tooth but mentioned our dog's hips as a concern (even though the previous vet we saw at this clinic told us there was nothing to be concerned about her hips). Did she want to have an X-ray done to make sure they were ok? No. We already had one anxiety med for our dog that was fine the previous times we'd come but were now given another. The entire appointment was a joke and centered around a bunch of shots we did not need but felt pressured to get. While the vet techs were sweet, the vet we saw was extremely condescending. After leaving the appointment, calling my partner's mom and doing a deep dive on Reddit, we found out it was acne and were able to clear it up on our own. We then called to cancel the surgery and no questions were asked as to why but my partner shared that information with them and he was met with an "ok." We will absolutely be going elsewhere.

UPDATE! they still suck, even as a backup- please take your dog absolutely anywhere else, I understand it's convenient being right on shore drive but it's so worth it to deal with people who contain brain cells

I can't say enough good things about this clinic! We recently got a new 8 week old puppy, and they have gone so above and beyond to make sure he's adjusting well. The vibe in the office is great, and the doctor is so patient (even with my 1000 anxious questions). They call to check on the dog any time they are worried about him, and the doctor even sent us a handwritten card with a photo of the puppy. This just really feels like a genuine, caring staff. They remember all the patients and parents, everyone is so kind and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, our puppy got really sick today, and I called the clinic just to run some questions by them. (Not the first time I've done this, and they're SO gracious and helpful). I called them in the late afternoon and they offered for me to bring him in immediately. We had a different doctor than our usual today, and she was also truly amazing. She spent so much time with us, talked with me several times as test results were coming back, by the time we left there the puppy was in significantly better shape, and we left with everything we needed to get him through the next 5 days. The vet even told me I could text her late night tonight if the dog declines further! I saw a couple negative reviews about pricing- I could not disagree more. Their prices are great compared to other places in town- and the vet actually really goes out of her way to make sure you're not paying for things you don't need. With how sick the dog was today, I was willing to pay for any and every single diagnostic test, but instead they did them one at a time to make sure I wasn't paying more than necessary. The bill was half of what I expected. I'm so grateful to have found this clinic- I wish I could find a doctors office for humans that is as perfect as this vets office

They don't care about anything except $$$$$$$ They diagnosed my dog with a chronic condition and insist they see her before refill. $$ my dog didn't have any problems before she went there

This place is filled with super hero's. We called seven vets in an emergency trying to find somebody to take our French bulldog. Without hesitation they said we will see you in an hour. They helped us feel better, helped our little guy feel better and I cannot say thank you enough to this superstar team. If you are looking for a Vet this place is it!

Called around for an hour trying to find somewhere to get my pup in around 8:30 at night, finally tried here and we got there and were out within the hour. They were so amazing and kind to both me and my puppy as I was crying my eyes out waiting for him. Highly recommend and am forever grateful for the women that helped us out.

If I could rate 0 star I would. We transitioned the care of our 3 pups and and 2 cats to Great Neck Vet 5 months ago, after 20 years with our prior vet in central va beach. We made the change to be closer to our residence. What a mistake. first of all, the practice is a billing machine. Our First visit for our chihuahua should have been a clear indication of things to come. He had a scheduled teeth cleaning with sedation 3 weeks prior with our old vet and was not eating well. We were concerned that He had another health issue. The office staff at Great Neck attempted to charge us twice what the Great Neck doctor had quoted us for further diagnostic oral care, and and we were placed in the uncomfortable position to have to defend it directly between doctor and staff, before they finally corrected course and honored the doctor's quote to us. Unfortunately, there was no resolution, nor diagnosis as to what was causing his non eating issue, only further shots in the dark at tests, with significant cost but no clear diagnosis. They revealed that he had a liver issue, which his chart had already noted from the prior practice for several years. Great Neck Vet runs itself in an abyss of chaos. There has been a litany of poor diagnostic care. Today, we returned to the practice because of continuing problems with our Chihuahua, only to be told at the end of the visit that we had a credit on the account. When we inquired why we had a credit on the account, we were told because when they tried to order his drugs and they were not available from the distributor, rather than refund my credit card that they charged, they gave us a "store credit" When I approached the manager about it, she said that was their standard practice. We stated, we didn't buy a Tshirt from them and return it for a store credit. We purchased drugs for our dog, which they were unable to obtain, and they should've credited the original form of payment. The manager stated, "we make the assumption the patient will be returning to the practice in the future and will simply have a credit on their account." Very shady. Buyer beware!

We recently had to take our puppy to Great Neck Vet Clinic late at night. The staff was kind, attentive, and the wait time was not bad at all. Thank you for taking care of our puppy.
