Golden Slippers Dance Academy, founded in 1979, has four locations in Virginia Beach: Lynnhaven, General Booth/Redmill, Kempsville and Haygood. The studio has FABULOUS instructors and a warm and friendly atmosphere. The instruction is designed to teach and nurture each child to grow as individual dancers and have them ENJOY their overall dance experience. Golden Slippers is a special place with a great boutique for all things dance, gymnastics, activewear and gifts. The owner is a lovely person who does so much for the community. The teachers are awesome, and the staff is helpful and super sweet. It is an amazing place to dance, making a positive difference and inspiring dancers.
Golden Slippers is really making a positive difference in the life of my granddaughter. Miss Amanda is a great teacher and focuses as much on relationships as on dance...and she does great with both ballet and tap dancing too! My granddaughter Great Grandma was a Ukranian Dancer back in the 1930s (yes, that's the granddaughter in GG's OLD costume), and she loves to dance. Great program, great instructors, inspiring teachers. So fun to see her come out of dance class happy and smiling. Thanks, Golden Slippers!
I love, love, love this dance studio! I danced here when I was young and now my daughter dances there! It is an amazing place to dance, the teachers are awesome! The staff is helpful and super sweet! Amazing place to dance!!
My daughter danced at Golden Slippers for 12 years. After her first year of dance at another studio, we started shopping for a different studio. Golden Slippers was the first studio after MANY stops one day that not only was open, but also had a friendly face willing to sit down with my daughter and I to find a class that would suit our schedule.
After our first year with the studio, I offered my daughter the opportunity to change studios and she adamantly refused. She loved the studio and the teachers, so we stuck around.
