Stitching was the wrong color, unevenly spaced and crooked. Overall, it looks terrible. They said it was the best they could do… I was charged $25 for this terrible work.

I brought them a leather watch band that is 20+ years old, and they are able to repair for a very reasonable fee. The people who work there are very nice. It's a little like stepping back in time, the store is old-fashioned, in the best way possible.

A very easy experience dealing with Alex. They do leather repair of all types, but mainly shoes. They also do alterations. It's a small mom and pop shop.
Parking is directly in front of the business. The lot was clean as was the walk up to the business.
I brought in a belt that needed a few notches added. Within a few minutes Alex measured and punched them out. The cost was a tip of what I felt it was worth. How many places will do that?

Alex doesn't live here any more!!! I have been going to Alex for the over 20 yrs. Move out of state for a short time for a job and when I returned it was after COVID. I walked into the store and walked back our because I was sure I had walked into the wrong store. Everything has changed the front of the store now does clothes repair, I did see the shoe repair in the back. So I figured Alex had finally decided to retire and had sold the store (I really miss him no matter who you were he always brought a smile to everyone face). I decided to try them for shoe repair (new heel tips on my high heel shoes) and since my jacket elbows were showing ware I decided to put elbow patches on the jacket. I was told the jacket would have leather patches (paid $50) they put on cheap leather look-alike and my shoes had the wrong size heel tips (to big). I have not been back, without Alex the service is not the same

My 17 year old Birkenstocks needed some serious TLC. The bottoms were coming off and the cork was disintegrating. So so happy with how they turned out. I did bring in my own bottoms that I purchased online cause I was thinking of doing it myself. So glad I brought them to Alex's. They turned out good as new! Before and after pictures to prove it!

I went here after was told to throw my shoe away. ALEX was able to fix it good as new. I've been going to same place for years off Lynnhaven Pkwy, I've threw away many shoes listening to them I will never go back.... ALEX is the BEST!!!

By far the worst cleaning I have ever received. I was told my shoes were run through the cleaning process multiple times but for some reason they were not clean what so ever. The employee looked me in my face and dared say that my shoes were very clean. I will never receive a service here again. And they trap you by paying in advance and refuse to return your money! Save your time and money!
