“I couldn't find an email to send this information directly to the salon. First, everyone was nice, and it was a good experience. Second, my old hairstylist had moved out of the area, so I asked her what to ask her. She told me to put in writing (so there was no confusion) when I made my appointment that I've done partial highlights with hi-lift color, I have fine hair, and it lifts easily. It's between levels 8 and 9 in terms of my natural blonde. When I met the stylist, she said she had read what I wrote in my appointment request. I rarely get my hair done, so it wasn't until I thought I was getting the wash that I realized we had bleached my hair, instead of using high lift color and were then toning it. At the end, I couldn't quite express what looked wrong, but it was that the highlights were much more yellow (look like stereotypical bleaching) than I am used to, and the toner really contrasted with it, instead of the natural look of the high-lift color. It's okay, it will grow out and the toner will wash out, the stylist did offer to correct it but speaking with my old stylist she said there is not much I can do since it's now been bleached and the color striped. I do really think that if you're going to use bleach on someone's hair, you should tell them since it does cause more damage. Like "Hey I read your request and actually I don't agree with it, I'm using bleach instead." I've never used bleach on my hair the scent (of that or the toner) for the remainder of the day was kind of nauseating my scalp broke out in a rash, and my eyes are still swollen. The first picture was my hair, the ones after are with the bleach. I have naturally frizzy hair and it’s also really dried my hair out.“
