“Mason was incredible. I had been searching for the right artist to do a couple really important pieces for me for years, since they’re detailed and meticulous, and then finally landed on Mason. He took his time, was really patient, extremely professional and cool. Hands down, I’ve literally never had a steadier hand tattoo me, he is ridiculously precise and a perfectionist. (Literally looked like printed on me, it’s crazy) Absolutely hilarious too. He brought my idea to life better than I ever imagined it could be, his input and opinions on things are top tier, he just has that gift/talent and it shows! My whole family gets their tats with him and i recommend him a million times over. Also the shop in general is the coolest/chillest atmosphere, my face hurt from laughing all day!

“Finally got the itch to get a a half leg sleeve that I've been thinking about for a couple of years. Came across this shop because it was across the street from the house... Saw that it was black owned, saw that their work was top tier, glad that I finally got on the schedule. Sat down with Corey (IG: @BACK2DR.INK) for a little over 6 hours and he captured my home state Illinois and the African-American female Essence perfectly. The whole shop is a Vibe so I definitely recommend stopping thru, especially on the weekends where the scene is usually like a kickback with good music and good friends.“

The shops front office staff was polite and very patient and the overall theme of the shop is artistic but also very clean and sanitary I recommend for any first time tattoo appointments. Both my artist Gilda and the receptionist went over maintenance how it would feel, how to take care of with written pre printed instructions. Not to mention Gilda had my tattoo ready and when it was done it was exactly what I had in mind.

Definitely will be making an appointment in the future for a sleeve.“

“UPDATED 3 months later:
The guy pierced my septum, not the woman. He totally pierced me incorrectly. After 3 months and a lot of research, he did not pierce the correct spot and it is not healing properly. I’m all about having someone practice on me, but the woman should have double checked if she is the one with the experience, and more importantly, the license. Had to take out the piercing today because it hurts so bad and I take very good care of it.

Got my septum pierced today. Service was awesome, piercing was quick and amazing. Very clean spot also.“
