About WM - Richmond Transfer Station
WM - Richmond Transfer Station is a waste management company that has been serving the community since 1968. Customers appreciate the reliable weekly trash service, noting the friendly staff and consistent pickup. However, the bi-weekly recycling service has received mixed reviews, with some customers experiencing delays and issues with overflow materials being left on their lawns. Overall, many long-time users report satisfaction with WM's services, including easy online billing and a commitment to quality. With a range of offerings such as dumpster rental and curbside pickup, WM continues to cater to residential, commercial, and industrial needs effectively.
I mean, it's the dump. That being said, I went a few months ago while they were renovating the scale shack and getting in was a long, confusing ordeal. Today I went, renovations completed and I was in and out in 10 minutes. Not saying it's always going to be that quick, but it was today.
Easy in easy out. They don't have a lot of instructions. Pull onto the scales. Wait for them to wave you forward to the next booth. Show your id for proof of residency. They will give you a number. Pull forward and around the end of the next building on the right. Back up to the covered concrete pad and unload. Pull around to the occupied booth and tell them your number. Pull onto the scales and look back for the thumbs up.
Finding a direct, or even indirect, means of contacting this company seems nearly impossible. Also, the WM app indicates a certain day that recycling will be picked up but they actually collect the day before. I went over a month without a service that I have paid for. Trash collection has been fine.
