i was a walk in and was desperate to get my waist length hair cut because i knew if i didn’t get it cut that day i wouldn’t have done it for another month. the girl at the front was the absolute sweetest and made me feel very welcomed. they put me with Claire who was super nice! i told her i wanted a shag cut and she let me know very politely that she hadn’t tried a shag cut yet so she was gonna put me with another stylist. i would have probably trusted her but really appreciated her honesty about her capability. kevin was nice enough to take me and did an amazing job. he took so much care in making sure my layers were even since i told him the last salon i went to just went absolutely crazy with random layers at every length in my hair. he also took time adjusting my bangs when i had my very picky critiques and i don’t think they’ve ever looked better. i know us girls with long hair can sometimes be a nightmare and i know when i was leaving i was having the “my hairs so short blues” even though he only took off two inches just like i requested. but the second i got home and really looked at my hair i was in love. i even had to call back to ask for the product he put in my hair because my hair looked so amazing i ordered it the second we got off the phone. as a long hair girly it may be a moment before i return since i need to recuperate my inches but i will 100% return to this location and can’t recommend them enough!

Got a shampoo and cut with Payton. Payton was a delight to talk to. She was super personable and fun to get to know. Probably the best conversation I've had during a haircut! She did an amazing job putting layers into my hair. She understood exactly what I wanted and did it with great technique and attention to detail. The Salon was aesthetic and clean and all staff were very sweet. Prices were awesome as well, would highly recommend!

Very nice first time experience! My husband and I needed a hair cut and Kevin saw to us both. Kevin is a very versatile stylist and gave my husband a clean and classic men’s cut while I got a super fun wolf cut with lots of funky layers, both look fab! Kevin was personable and lovely to work with. Check-in staff was also courteous and pleasant. I felt the prices were extremely reasonable compared to what I’ve spent at other salons. I would absolutely recommend this salon based on my experience.

Never again! If you are a woman of color, this is not the place to go. They set me up for an appointment. I told them upfront that I'm a woman of color, told them I needed to see a professional colourist, told them what I wanted. I get there and... Well, ... So a young lady comes to me and tells me that my salt and pepper hair could not be dyed to all Gray. She was nervous and lying about the information she gave me about my hair. She stumbled over her words more times than I could keep up with. Yet, I see women of color, young and old with dyed platinum, silver, gray, white even and she told me that it couldn't be done on a woman of color. She should have just admitted that she or this salon is not educated enough to be able to achieve what I was asking for. And it would have been suffice to say she doesn't know how and referred me to another place. But I don't believe they would even know that much.

I had one of THE most appallingly bad hair experiences here today. I asked for partial highlights and grey coverage on my temples. I got a $275 quote that almost made me pass out. But I let the stylist proceed. I wish I'd left then and there. I now have a clear line of demarcation about a quarter of an inch from my part line, and she put far too much dye along my temples and the side of my face. It colored my light facial hair so I now look like I have sideburns. I'm still laughing because at 62, we've all survived a hair disaster or two. I know she could tell I wasn't happy. After 3 1/2 hours, I had to go and she hadn't even started to blow dry/style my hair. I didn't attend the event I was supposed to go to afterwards (those sideburns aren't going anywhere anytime soon) and they knocked about $40 off. Still means I got a subpar partial highlight for about $235 bucks...in Richmond, VA...which is crazy. I'll be looking for a new place next time around and trying to keep my head down and my hair untucked and over my ears until these brown stains along the side of my face fade. Ridiculous. Update: The owner did call me, following this review. Though apologetic and mentioning repeatedly this would be used as a "learning experience", I received no offer of either any kind of refund or an amount off for future services or an offer to have anything corrected. I spoke to a work colleague, a Richmond local, and have another salon picked out for next time.
