I can’t say enough amazing things about Dr. de Silva She is truly the best pediatrician and one of the kindest, most compassionate people I’ve ever met. From day one, she has treated us like family — always patient, gentle, and so genuine with her care. She listens, never rushes, and somehow manages to make every visit feel calm and comforting (even when I’m stressed!).

She goes above and beyond in every single way. You can tell she truly cares — not just about her patients, but about their parents too. I trust her completely, and honestly, we would drive across the entire country just to keep her as our pediatrician.

5 Stars – The Best Pediatrician Around!

We feel incredibly lucky to have Dr. Hawthorn as our pediatrician. He without a doubt the best – not only highly skilled but also truly gifted at working with children and parents. From the moment he walks into the room, he puts everyone at ease. He listens intently, takes the time to really hear what you have to say, and somehow makes you feel like you've known him forever – all without making the visit feel long or drawn out. We just had to take a moment to review all the staff at RVA Pediatrics but especially Dr. Hawthorne. We welcomed our first child this past fall and as a NICU baby we were wanting to carefully select who her next physician would be and a friend recommended RVA Pediatrics and Dr. Hawthorne. We originally saw Dr. Heyman who was absolutely wonderful, and when Dr. Hawthorne could see us we were further blown away by his warmth, bedside manner, and genuine care for his littlest patients, and the patience and compassion he had for their parents.
