After moving to RVA a couple of years ago and trying several barbershops, I decided to stick with Karl's Place. Karl, Nancy and Grace each have cut my hair and I've been very happy with the results. They have a great camaraderie and banter and I feel like I am with friends. Professional, friendly, and really good at what they do! Highly recommend.
This is the type of barbershop your dad took you to on the weekends as a kid. As in there’s sports memorabilia and bric a brac everywhere, some old school movie or a sports game is on a tv, there is an ongoing discussion involving everyone on sports, grilling, lawn work, weather, cars, and life in general.
Karl and the ladies that work there do an awesome job with clean cuts and beard trims. Stop looking for a place to get your hair cut and go to Karl’s if you’re tired of going to trendy places and shelling out a hundred bucks for a cut that leaves you dissatisfied.
Karl is an absolute phenomenal barber. Of course he can cut hair, but what I love about going to Karl’s, and I have been for the last 5 years, is Karl knows how to work the room. If you want a “traditional Barbershop vibe” I assure you this is it. Sit down, enjoy the conversation and wait your turn.
It’s worth it ???
He is personable, just, and at the end of the day a truly phenomenal barber.
