When we got to our first consultation, we were hopeful he could one day give us the gift of that second baby we were longing for, and we were instantly reassured about it. Dr. Sharara is a gem. He is incredibly knowledgeable, but also kind and compassionate, always taking the time to listen and support his patients.
I wish I came to VCRM when we just started trying. Yet, my journey started at Shady Grove fertility in Fairfax. I was misdiagnosed at Shady Grove (which apparently happens often) and so their approach was barking up the wrong tree: they pushed my body hard by giving me a very high doses of the IVF medication and did so for 4 cycles without understanding what was going on with my body. I'll never forget the first time my husband and I met with Dr. Sharara. Upon our arrival, he already knew everything there was to know about my journey. He truly did his homework! My previous clinic had sent over my medical records and he found so many "errors" before examining me. I'll never forget him asking if I was aware that I had a uterine septum. My previous clinic noted in my chart that I had one, but failed to mention that to me. Dr. Sharara immediately noticed it when looking at my ultrasounds. I knew then, I was in the right place.
