Air Guard Mechanical kept it quick and simple while detailing the issue with our AC unit to us that suffered a compressor failure during a recent power surge. After discussing our options for either a compressor or AC unit replacement we went with the new unit as the cost to benefit was the best bang for our buck. They went the extra mile with a new base for the unit and one that was more efficient for our home. Replacement of our 12 year old unit was quick and now my family stays cool, the unit is quieter, doesn’t have to run as long, and I’m actually saving a little on the energy bill, so it really does seem to be paying for itself. Jef is amazing — hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had during the chaotic process of selling my home. I could write a long list of everything that went wrong with other vendors, but this company was the one bright spot.
He came highly recommended by my realtor, and now I see why. Out of all the vendors I dealt with, this was the only one who gave me a clear price, a set time and date, and followed through on exactly what he said — no excuses, no surprises, and no upselling.
I never had to follow up or double-check his work. He was professional, honest, and reliable from start to finish.
Jeff and Robin always do an amazing job! Recently my thermostat upstairs wasn't working. I'm a bit of a handyman so I was able to determine there was no power coming to the thermostat even though I had power coming from the main unit downstairs but was missing it somewhere between the Attic air handler and the upstairs thermostat. Even though they are busy, Jeff came out the next day after I called and had the right part on his truck and even dealt with my wishy-washy not sure which thermostat I wanted to go with, the new one or the old one. Then after discovering the old one no longer works, he still installed the new one and programmed it for me. Great... read full review
