Nakya called me to follow up regarding my review and offered solutions to ameliorate the situation and we reached an agreement on a partial refund. It was very professional of her and I appreciated her customer service.
The hairstyle itself is nice, except I had too much hair left out which is the opposite of what I asked for, but my issue is the hidden fees which left me feeling taken advantage of.

Wanted to take a moment to leave a positive review for this salon and the stylist who did my hair, Kiah. The salon itself is modern and beautifully decorated. It felt like I was getting my hair done in one of those salons featured in Essence Magazine that I admired as a kid. The staff was friendly and greeted each guest. No eye rolling or silent stares, everyone was kind and attentive. As for the stylist, I appreciate a full service experience! I came fresh out of braids. I got a detangle, wash, protein treatment, trim and style (weave pony). I’m a new mom so this moment of self care felt special and worthy of the price. I’ll be back!
The ambiance was very nice, and I was greeted warmly upon arrival. I had called ahead for a $55 pixie cut as I was told, but my hairdresser seemed reluctant when I got there, perhaps because I was a walk-in. Despite showing her a specific style that included clippers, she didn't line me up as shown in the picture. I opted not to have it styled, thinking I'd just get the cut and handle the rest (finger waves) elsewhere. However, she charged me $65 maybe bc she thought I wouldn’t tip but there was no explaining why the total changed , totaling over $75 with tip without the proper line-up.
