Loved these dentists! Everybody was engaging, friendly and professional. This was my first visit and yet they made me feel like I was an old friend. The tech took all the x-rays, pictures, etc. quickly and painlessly. The dentist did a thorough dental checkup and provided good follow-up advice. The admin efficiently processed my insurance, requiring no payment from me. I’m definitely keeping them as my dentists.

Called Konikoff Family Dentistry while dealing with a cracked wisdom tooth and significant pain after being told they could help quickly. I got in the next day, which initially felt like a relief.
After X-rays, I was told they couldn’t actually treat the issue and that I would need to see a specialist — with an appointment a month away. However, while I was there in pain, there was still time to discuss teeth whitening treatments and tell me I supposedly had multiple cavities that would require extensive work.
I found another dentist the very next day. The tooth was removed immediately, and I was told there were no cavities or other dental issues.
I understand referrals happen. What I don’t understand is telling a patient in acute pain you can help, not addressing the issue, then pivoting to cosmetic upsells and questionable additional treatment recommendations. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting a second opinion.

My family and I have been going to Konikoff for almost 20 years. The office staff are friendly, the hygienists are excellent, and Dr. Alisa Smith-Kayal is very thorough. We are very pleased with Konikoff at Wards Corner. If you don’t like frequent reminders about your appointments you might find that irritating. Admittedly, as a busy working parent, I find them very helpful!
