I wouldn't trust any other office outside of Elite Women's Care for my prenatal care. Dr. Sample and Dr. Burfoot are truly the best doctors. I had a c-section with Dr. Sample in September, and she made the entire process so comforting. I cannot recommend EWC enough. Sentara Leigh also has an amazing maternity staff!
After years of being dismissed, a friend of mine recommended Dr.Sample. This recommendation made a shift in my life, one that was needed.
Dr.Sample (5 stars for her ✨️) was the first medical professional that heard and LISTENED to my pain and symptoms. She cares and it's something I'll forever be grateful for. We eventually found out I do indeed have endometriosis and adenomyosis. Not the best news but we finally got answers to years of confusion and not being heard. When I went in for my laparoscopy at Sentara my family felt reassured and knew I was in good hands.

I’ve been under the care of Elite Women’s Care since 2023. CNM Wendy Graefe delivered my daughter in September of 2023 and Dr. MaLena Sample delivered my son early January of this year. Both delivery experiences were better than I could’ve imagined. I thank both Ms. Wendy and Dr. Sample for their support and care.
