This is the best color salon in Newport News! Rachel is gifted with finding exactly the right shade of brown I want and her suggestion of a Brazilian Blowout on my short hair to keep it sleek and frizz-free was spot on.

Very high prices for a just-okay job. For $400, I would expect better, but they were kind and professional nonetheless.

I have been looking for a good stylist for the longest time. My hair has NEVER looked or felt better in my life. Cindy has such a great personality and the utmost level of professionalism. I'm so glad I booked an appointment with her!

When I was making the appointment I specifically asked what techniques they use for balayage (I've been getting it done for 6+ years now and I've seen multiple techniques and prefer hand painting over foils). The stylist that was going to do my hair said "yes that's what we do - we hand paint". Fast forward to my actual appointment - I confirmed again that they'd be hand painting and she said yes. However, there was NO hand painting involved whatsoever. Half way through I said "wait I thought we discussed hand painting?" She said "oh ya you won't get a good lift that way". I understand she would not have been able to achieve that but I expected transparency in that matter BEFORE she touched my hair. All that to say I'm EXTREMELY unhappy with my "highlights" - it def is not a balayage at all. I was there at 1pm and left at 540 (with incomplete service). WHY DOES IT TAKE almost 5 hours for a balayage?!?! And now for the haircut - it wasn't what I asked for. I asked for a long shag with curtain bangs but I got long layers with such short bangs that I actually cried when I got home. Kayla was my stylist. She was kind. And very nice. But she was obviously extremely inexperienced. My heart still hurts when I look in the mirror. I wasn't expecting a service like this for the amount of money they charge.

Well it's not my first time here it was my fourth and it was by far the worst experience I've had in a long time with a stylist my hair was supposed to be more of a gold blonde my roots have black spots and ashy which looks ridiculous I look like a 90 year old woman who went to the grocery store and bought a box of bleach I want them to fix it or refund my money but I get no answer. Not to mention I'm not even blonde I'm yellow on top and white around my face like an ash white with black spots it looks ridiculous ! Oh and I am definitely not 90 years old I don't even know how this can be fixed. So to update Apparently be cause I wrote a bad review they refused to fix my hair or refund my money that's really poor business was bad enough yesterday she put me on hold and then hung up on me the third time I called left a message no response. So after going there for 2 1/2 years I cannot recommend it anymore but I think it's really sad.

Pretty happy with the apprentice Kenzie! I was just looking for a quick roots touch-up. She did a great job, and my hair came out looking not bad at all! Kenzie was super sweet and considerate as well, making sure I was happy with the look. And at half price, can't be beat! Being my first time, the studio was hard to find, so I'm putting up some photos of the location for newcomers. Look for the blue sign.

Sorry, but I don't know the people who work at this hair place, but they don't know what they are doing! I went in for a trim! And got butchered! She cut off 6in. instead of 3-4! No style or curl, just butchered!

First time getting my hair done in a WHILE & I'm so happy with how it turned out. I worked with Lexie & she listened really well to what I wanted. I have some (not so high quality) before & after photos of my highlights + Bob haircut !

I normally don't leave bad reviews unless it's BAD! And the main reason I'm leaving this review is because I emailed them, trying to be discreet about everything because I don't want to throw anyone under the bus. I emailed them asking for a refund....or what could they offer. I emailed them personally and on ig & fb messenger.....no reply. So here I am. The people are amazing. Very nice....no issues there. I spent $200 on full highlights and I left feeling ok about my hair, but once I got home and put my hair up, it was all bad underneath. My highlights looked like extensions! Not only that, but the back of my head would have highlight near the top, then my original hair color, then highlight on the bottom....which is very weird. I def went in with a pic basically showing what I kinda wanted (which was to go to a light brown, I'll just say I'm now a blonde. I couldn't stand my hair and how it made me feel and I couldn't go to work that way (I'm in the army & my hair looked CRAZY when I tried to put it in a bun!....it was against regulations, for sure) like I said, nice lady! But quality of work is . It was so bad, I had to find an open appt the next day somewhere else to get it fixed. Thank god, cause they did an awesome job fixing me!
