I can say that this a great barbershop. Misty has been great and has been very attentive for my hair and beard needs. All while getting a lesson in the various grooming techniques that traditional barbers have used and how it’s shaped her techniques. I highly recommend anyone to visit them and get their grooming needs taken care of.
I spent 20 years getting haircuts at Navy barbershops and the last 20 years going to “Stylists”at Supercuts and Great Clips…BUT…
I found a traditional barber with Misty Castro (Castros V in Newport News)…and am never going back! Yes, it is a bit more expensive but it’s more of an experience…the conversation is engaging, her skill is undeniable, and you walk away refreshed!

I’ve been going to Castros for haircuts for a while now and her haircuts are second to none. I finally got around to booking a straight razor face shave and I was blown away. Very relaxing. She explained the entire process throughout. The shave was focused on care of my skin which I appreciated so much. The products she used throughout the shave were super high quality. I walk out of her shop feeling like a million bucks every time.
