Smith Mountain Lake Family Practice is a wonderful family practice. Dr. Powell is an incredible doctor with a great personality who listens, is honest, thorough, and knowledgeable. The office associates are very friendly and helpful. The nurses are some of the best, operating very efficiently and they care about patient well-being. Patients are happy to have this practice in their insurance network.

Dr. Powell is almost like a second mom to me ♥️. She has listened, and truly makes an effort to work with my issues, even when I haven't really deserved it. She genuinely cares and is always rooting for me. Dr Lewis and Angela and the staff are like family as well. They have forgiven me when I needed help and their love for their patients is beyond the standard doctor visit. I'm so thankful to God that I have people that listen and care with the grace that Jesus teaches us to have for one another.
