We started looking for a flooring company in January 2026 to replace carpeting in two rooms. We tried two companies within twenty minutes of us. One never called back and the second had a sales clerk that didn't know the product or pricing. She did schedule measurements but no one ever showed up or even called to cancel or reschedule. About that time, friends recommended Wertz Flooring Gallery which is about forty-five minutes from us. We visited their store and were immediately impressed by their knowledge and selection. We purchased carpet for 3 bedrooms. The service we received was excellent; from the time we selected the carpet, to the staff coming to measure the rooms, to the ordering and installation. It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed working with the staff and will be using Wertz Flooring in the future.
Wertz is extremely customer focused. Having visited many flooring stores in Richmond, my wife and I both commented this was the best floor store in Richmond. While other stores try to up sell, Wertz provides pros and cons based on you specific situations- dogs, kids, shuffling older adults, etc.
