I recently had femtolaser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) with placement of ultraviolet light adjustable premium intraocular lenses (UV LAL's) at Fairfax Surgery Center by Dr. Christine Tagayun MD, with support from Dawn Williams OD, and the excellent supporting staff of See Clearly Vision in McLean, VA. My condition was a bit more complicated by the presence of "map-dot corneal dystrophy" (also called anterior basement membrane dystrophy) a relatively minor congenital deposit of small opacities in my corneas. These deposits needed to be removed before cataract surgery using the laser, and I underwent Photo-Therapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) in each eye... read full review
