We’ve been to several Sharkey’s locations around the DMV, but both of my kids always ask to come back to this one. The staff genuinely love working with children, and I truly believe kids can sense that. Everyone is so kind, patient, and welcoming.
They’re always quick to help over the phone and incredibly accommodating during every visit. The fun styling cars and TVs make haircuts something my kids actually look forward to, and the prizes at the end are always a big hit!

I have had two experiences at Sharkey’s since the new owner has taken over. Both times I took my son for a mixed hair texture cut, and the second for a toddler’s first haircut as well. Both times the staff were knowledgeable, patient, and friendly with the kiddos. The experience was magical for both, and they loved it so much they told every stranger they met about their car haircuts for the next week. I recommend this location for children’s cuts.
My son is on the spectrum and he was treated with care and respect even though we were a few minutes late to our appointment. I was appreciative that they did see us. I had texted the phone number to let them know we were behind. I didnt get a response but Im not sure if they have that capability. I know another location had and each location potentially operates differently. Would recommend making an appointment even though they do except walk ins. Will make a future appointment with them.
