I would not recommend this company to file your taxes. I went to Mariam in 2023 to file my taxes and left my card information for her to take out the fee whenever she files. Failed to follow up because I wasn't getting anything back anyways. Plus, I thought she would've done her job correctly. I then go to file my taxes for 2024 and it wouldn't allow me to file because 2023 was never filed. She completely forgot to file my taxes and when I approached her she blamed me for not reminding her. She refused for me to come in her office to discuss it with her and refused to file an extension for 2024. She is not a bad person and was gracious enough to reduce/waive the fee but she is not as organized. She really doesn't do anything to get you all of the deductions you qualify for either. My return was equivalent to what TurboTax offered. I would recommend you save your money and do it yourself or seek professional help elsewhere!

Stay clear of this business. Mariam has been my business and personal tax accountant for over 8 years now. She works hard but I feel this year she really failed me on my business and personal tax returns. Mariam filed both my returns and although she did the tax returns correctly, she failed me personally as a client. Mariam, deposited my tax refund to a Trust Fund account at the request of my sister Seema Nagabhusha-Tiwari. This is my hard earned money that I received back from Uncle Sam. Instead of doing the right thing, Mariam caved and followed the advice of my sister by putting it in a trust fund. Now months later, I have no access to my own tax refund and Mariam has wiped her hands clean. Seema- my sister and my mom Malini Nagabhushan are keeping my tax refund in trust fund only to find out I do not have access to this trust fund.
What a complete cluster we have going on here. I know now to never work with JMU TAX and FInancial Services. I paid $1400 for Mariam’s work and she delivered a ZERO RETURN TO ME. Literally. And

Mariam is very exeptional she is the best . I have no words where to start the review she is highly knowledgeable . Highly professional , she is very positive humble , and a very kind hearted lady . She has helped me big time to get the best refunds . She is great in her work very commited . I highly trust and reccomend her to the whole virginia and anyone who has complex tax needs . She has intense knowledge and a very hardworking person . She works long hours with no help . I noticed one negative thing she needs help she has too many clients JMU will be in great loss to loose an employee like Mariam Shahzad . She works long hours and ALONE thats not good .
