“Saunders removed our 90 yr old slate roof, underlayment, and flashings; installed a new underlayment and flashing, and reinstalled the salvaged slate replacing around 15% that was broken. They also replace a section of 60-yr old metal with a new membrane. Final product looks very good, and the old slate is visually indistinguishable from the replacements. As an architect with 45 years of practice I could quibble about a few minor details, but nothing major. I left one star off because the crew should have covered the ground better to catch the slate they tossed off the roof. As a result, our car found a roofing nail in the driveway, but Saunders was quick to deduct the cost of that tire from the final bill. I would certainly recommend them for anyone's slate work.“
