I don’t normally leave reviews, but the staff and doctors here have just blown me away! Let me first start off by saying that I suffered some extreme trauma back in the 90s, when I was just a nine year old kid, from a dentist. Because of that, I did not see a dentist for not even so much as a cleaning until I was 28 years old. That was ten years ago, and it was also a very unpleasant and painful experience. For the past 10 years, I’ve been terrified to go back and see any other dentist. Well, I was starting to have some pain on one side of my jaw, and I knew I needed a deep cleaning so I bit the bullet and decided to try this place. I drive by it every day and their signs always make me laugh. So for the first time in 10 years, I stepped into a dentist’s office and I absolutely do not regret it one bit. The staff members here are so incredibly caring and sweet. The ladies in the front office are kind, and will do everything within their power to accommodate your schedule. They are very clear about insurance, payments etc. and are very good at what they do. Granted, appointments for some types of procedures are booked months out, but I can definitely see why. They are ABSOLUTELY worth the wait! After my initial assessment appointment where they took x-rays and measured my pockets, I was booked for a deep cleaning for 1/2 of my mouth- the right side. When I went in for that, I’ll admit, I was absolutely terrified of the needles but I am not kidding when I tell you, whatever technique she used to administer the Novocain, I did not feel a single thing. I got, I think, five shots on one side of my mouth deep in my gums, and I had no idea it was even happening. I was sitting there waiting for her to stick me, and before I knew it, she was telling me she was done! She went on to give me a perfect deep cleaning- she was so gentle, yet firm and thorough. My teeth have never looked or felt better. Now today, I went in for fillings that were in between two of my molars on that right side. I had the most absolute pleasure of meeting Dr. Hutchings, who put me immediately at ease. He and his assistant had the most kind and compassionate bedside manner, and also a fantastic sense of humor! This man is an artist, really. I looked really close at his work when I got home and I can’t even tell that I got fillings done! I also, just like last time, did not feel a single needle. He also took the time to knock out two other small fillings that needed to be done on the other side so I wouldn’t have to have a second appointment. They were small cavities, and he is so good and so quick that I didn’t even need numbing on that side. It really was just the most fantastic experience you could ever expect at a dental office. Oh, and much to my surprise, he called me that evening to check on me and see how I was doing. Hands down, best dentist ever! All I have left is one more deep cleaning, on the left side, and I’ll be “done“ with dental work- assuming they don’t find any more cavities during that cleaning. After that, I am going to keep up with my regular routine cleanings every six months like I should’ve been doing all these years. I am so happy to have found this office. I seriously have found my dental office for life. I don’t think they realize this, but my teeth have been a source of anxiety and shame for me for years, but not any more. They managed to basically erase nearly 30 years of dental trauma/ptsd in three appointments. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to Dr. Hutchings and his wonderful staff!
