I had a family event coming up that i had forgotten about by the time my calendar kindly reminded me, i only had 2 days left, and it was on easter day. I checked salons around me, desperatly looking for someone to braid my hair, but i could not find a single salon opened who did not have a wait list longer than 2 weeks. I called DK and Amy's salon, and DK picked up. She graciously agreed to do my hair monday, the day right after easter. Little did i know that monday was her day off. This woman came into work on her day off, to help me out. She did tell me over the phone that she did not do knotless, but that was fune, since i dont care either way. Im not sure what i expected, but what i got was better than anything i could have imagined. She braided my hair April 1st, and even now, the 27th, it still looks fresh. I can do so many styles with it because of how freely it moves.
Update: June I really like this hair salon. The braids last so long and look so nice. The pictures of the multicolord braids were from the first of July as well as the 28th of june. The braids themselves were done at the end of may, and they still look new.
Requested style: I like simple braids. I have no style preference but prefere shorter braids since they tend to be lighter and less troublesome. Amy and DK are able to do both long and short braids that are fairly light.

Please be aware! THEY DO NOT PROVIDE KNOTLESS SERVICES and they do not know how to do marley twist! I called and asked for Marley twist and I spoke with a lady named Amy. She informed me that I would need 3 packs of 3 bundles of Cuban Twist hair, seemed like a lot of hair, but okay. I bought the hair the night before but the store only provided single bundles. They only had 6 packs of individual bundles, so I had to go the morning of to get 3 more packs of hair $56. Style $200.
When I arrived I found out that Amy was in fact not doing my hair, but Mrs. DK… she was nice but I was caught off guard because she wasn’t who I spoke with. She proceeded to do my hair and as she’s doing my hair she I keep telling her that I’m not use to my hair being so heavy or the twist being so big. Repeatedly. She kept telling me that once she dips the hair it will be lighter. Also I’m not use to the huge knots at the roots, she tells me that they don’t do Knotless. I was so disappointed because I knew my hair wasn’t going to be right. Every time I raised concern she tried to reassure me that it would be okay and that she’ll give me a discount or re-do my hair in the morning. I was in the shop from 9am to 3:30pm. The twist were neat but HUGE with big knots at the root and unimaginably HEAVY! I couldn’t put my hair up in a ponytail as the twist were bulky and some were braided to my scalp.
I simply asked for some of my money back so that I could redo my own hair since she didn’t do Knotless nor could she grasp the concept of what I wanted. Amy offered me $40 and DK called back and offered $75. Not nearly enough but okay I’ll pay her for OUR WAISTED TIME. As I’m taking out my hair and redoing each braid one by one I realize that my hair had been cut and that an excessive amount of hair was used, which explained why my neck was hurting so bad.
They wouldn’t return my money until I proved I took my hair out. From 8pm to 6:30 am I was up doing my own hair which I told her I was trying to avoid. I received the $75. DK was very apologetic but Amy kept trying to say that she told me they did not do Knotless or small Havana twist. I asked for Marley Twist and sent her photos. She they proceeded to say that she didn’t cut my hair. I didn’t use scissors to take my hair out as I reused the same hair!!! I took approximately 4-5 packs of unnecessary hair out of my head.
DK was so nice but again she could not provide the service I wanted. I’m giving this establishment a 2 star review only because she was so nice. Amy should have communicated their service way better in the initial call and I wouldn’t have waisted my time or money. $181 down the drain between the “service” and wasted hair. So disappointing.

These ladies have been in business a long time. They are always courteous and professional and your style will always come out the way you want it. I drove 3 hours to get my kinky twists done, so that speaks volumes about their services!!

I have got my hair braided with these ladies a couple times and I was very happy with the results every time they are very professional and friendly and ask you exactly how you want your hair done. I love and and will continue getting my hair done by them.
