About Ron Rosner Family YMCA
The Ron Rosner Family YMCA is a highly-regarded, family-friendly facility that offers a wide range of amenities and programs for healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. The spacious gym is equipped with all the basic needs for cardio, weightlifting, and various sports like basketball and pickleball. The pool is a great size with plenty of classes available, and the lap lanes are almost always open, even during swim meets. The facility also features a new sauna, steam room, and immaculate men's locker room and showers. While the changing rooms could use some updating, the overall cleanliness of the YMCA is pretty good. What truly sets this YMCA apart is its welcoming and friendly culture. Instructors are described as very friendly and welcoming, and members often invite newcomers to join their activities. The front desk staff, however, receives mixed reviews - some find them to be unfriendly and irritated, while others, like the "queen of customer service," Rita, provide excellent assistance. Membership is fairly priced, and the summer camps for children are outstanding. Overall, the Ron Rosner Family YMCA is an exceptional facility that caters to the needs of the entire family, promoting healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility.
I love this YMCA! The people here are like family. The Kidz Corner employees are always loving to my children and my kids have a fun time playing with all the toys, sport activities, and friends. The preschool teachers are kind and truly enjoy teaching little ones. The exercise classes are fun and provide a challenging workout. The facilities are clean and usually not too crowded. If you’re considering a gym, definitely try this Y!
Overall it's a good gym, though a little higher priced compared to some other Y's. The fitness room has a great variety of equipment and kept up well. Lots of excercise classes to choose from. Love the MX4 class and that it has its own room. Other Ys often charge for similar programs so it's great this is included. The staff and members are all pleasant. Everyone is very encouraging of each other in group fitness classes. The hot tub is wonderful. Enjoy the steam room and sauna. There's a lot of water exercise classes with great instructors and plenty of lanes for lap swimming. Lifeguards are always friendly and willing to answer questions. Only issue I have with this location is the pool area. The humidity is too high in the pool. Water is 84 and air temp around 72. Due to this black algae is forming on the windows, ceiling, pool floor, binders and papers. The pool staff including lifeguards and instructors are in this area all day. Not only that, the Y has not publicly told its patrons yet about the algae yet which can cause serious health issues. Especially for the elderly and young. Not only has the staff not informed the members, but they have not informed their preschool families who go swimming every Friday. And went swimming the Friday before winter break. I feel the members and the families of these preschool students have a right to know what's going on so they can decide if they want to use the pool currently or wait till the issue is fixed.
I heard good things about yall facility and I went one day to go swimming and pool was open on a Monday and it was big met a lot of new people and it’s so cool to have a place with a gym a basketball court and an entire pool
