“I’m crying as I write this so please bear with me as far as grammatical mistakes may be concerned.

A few years ago when my mom started to go downhill, I was having trouble with some siblings who my mother did not really want in the picture and I had called Mullins and Thompson in regards to that and asked for their advice. Their advice was to become my moms designator so that I had full control over everything when she died and I could fulfill my moms wishes when that time came without any issue. Like I said, that was a few years ago.

On June 9th of 2026, my mom finally decided to leave me. I am obviously heartbroken, but I am so so happy and relieved she is finally out of pain because she was so sick.

The week or so before she passed I had called M&T and I spoke with Javier. I had explained the situation and what mom wanted down to basically the exact wording she said. Javier was amazing throughout it all. He was comforting, professional, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process.

I am unfortunately in a different state than my mom was, so this was extremely difficult on me and like I said, I am heartbroken. I lost my best friend. But Javier and I also need to send a shout out to Tina, made everything smooth and easy to handle and basically did everything and made everything I had to do simple.

My mom finally arrived by mail today to me. Needless to say I am a complete wreck, but Javier called to make sure she had come home to me and I just truly cannot say enough about this company and their compassion. They also went as far as helping me out where getting the hummingbird necklace with my mom’s ashes inside was concerned.

So please. Even if you’re out of state, and your loved one is in Virginia, consider Mullins and Thompson. They truly are the best and they truly are compassionate and not at all about the money part of the business; they take your loved one and your feelings and the care of your loved one very seriously.
