At the behest of our two young daughters, my wife and I signed our family up for a free karate lesson at Super Kicks in Forest, VA. We were so impressed with our free lesson that we signed up for weekly classes. Now a year since that initial lesson, my family is immensely satisfied with our Super Kicks experience. The instructors, particularly lead instructors Clifton Abercrombie and Hughla McDowell, are incredibly patient with both young children and adults with less-than-stellar flexibility. Mrs. Adcock invited my family and I to a free Karate lesson, after going with the intent to just sign up my kids, I ended up signing the entire family and couldn't be happier with Super Kicks. The discipline and values that they teach and uphold greatly reflect the way I raise my kids. The Respect you get when you walk in is unlike any other place, whether your a new or experienced student, a parent or a visitor it is truly remarkable, and don't find places like this very often. My wife, son and all have been attending Super Kicks for a few years now. We started my son in the program when he was 6 years old, and he is currently only a few months away from getting his black belt. The program is a great family activity where children can learn respect and self control. My son is a very hyper child, and this gives him a great constructive outlet for his energy and because of the way the class is structured it is something we can do with him. This helps us to have more time together as a family, and less time just carting him around to from one activity to another.
