I called around 12 well-rated fitness equipment moving companies for quotes to move a large HOIST V4 Elite home gym from a private seller to our commercial location. With most of them, I had to repeatedly follow up just to get a quote. Pro Fitness Movers returned my calls/messages when I followed up, and their price was fair — substantially more reasonable than several competing quotes.
I was a little skeptical going in. They’re a small operation, arrived in an unmarked pickup truck, don’t have much of an online presence, and accept cash or check rather than credit cards. The technicians were in uniform, though, and once they started working it became clear they knew what they were doing.
They showed up with the right tools, dollies and moving blankets. They disassembled a fairly complicated selectorized home gym quickly, protected it during transport, and reassembled it correctly at the destination. I tested the machine afterward and everything operated smoothly. No damage, missing hardware, surprise charges or issues with the reassembly.
They were about an hour and 15 minutes late to pickup, which is the main reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. They were driving roughly an hour and a half to us and did contact me while stuck behind a legitimate traffic accident, so I understand how it happened. Communication could also be a little more responsive.
At the end of the day, they showed up with the right equipment, did exactly what I hired them to do, did it properly, and charged a reasonable price. I would use them again for fitness equipment moving.
Roberto and his crew were excellent. They came on-time, were efficient, well equipped, very strong, and knowledgeable about how to get very heavy equipment up & down our very challenging wood stairs. They carried a peloton treadmill up two flights of stairs and assembled. Then they disassembled the old treadmill and carried it down two flights of stairs. They even hauled away our old equipment. The service is worth the expense!!!
