I had an extremely frustrating experience with this practice and cannot recommend them.
In just four appointments, I saw three different providers, with no continuity of care whatsoever. Each provider seemed unaware of prior visits, forcing me to repeat information and essentially start over every time. For a mental health service, this level of disorganization is unacceptable.
Communication was consistently poor. Appointments were rescheduled due to issues on their end with little clarity or accountability. I was also asked to complete an EKG with almost no prior notice—something that should have been clearly communicated in advance so I could properly prepare.
There were also repeated issues with prescriptions, adding unnecessary stress and delays to an already sensitive process.
On top of that, basic logistical information—like which office I was supposed to go to—was unclear and inconsistently communicated. I was given vague or conflicting directions (e.g., being told different locations such as Woodbridge vs. another office), which created avoidable confusion and wasted time.
Overall, this practice demonstrated a lack of coordination, poor communication, and no continuity of care. I initially chose them because they accepted my insurance, but the experience was so disorganized that I will be seeking care elsewhere.
I strongly recommend others consider alternative providers.

Dr. Okema has been the best psychiatrist , digging in to watch and monitor my grandsons meds, ordering labs and noting his thyroid and kidney levels were a bit high, working with the PCP and myself to get my grandson an appointment for nephrologist and endocrinologist to make sure that his previous diagnosis of 'ADHD' and his focus issues are more than just ADHD. He is AMAZING! None of his previous psych doctors have gone this far to investigate his focus issues. They just medicated him and met with me every month. NO BUENO. They could learn a few things from Dr. Okema. Great personality, loves kids, takes the time to listen to you.
