About [solidcore]
[solidcore] is a fitness studio that offers Pilates-inspired workouts on their proprietary reformer, [sweatlana]. The studio aims to help clients tap into their inner strength and achieve a unique workout experience. With locations in Fairfax, Virginia, and other areas, [solidcore] provides resistance-based exercises that focus on building muscular strength, endurance, and definition in the core, upper body, and lower body. While some clients have reported issues with instructors providing unclear instructions, others have praised the studio's awesome coaches and enjoyed their experience. The workouts are considered tough, but the instructors are informative and provide encouragement. However, some clients have noted concerns about the studio's cleanliness and temperature control, which can affect the overall workout experience.
Class instructions were very confusing as this instructor spoke too fast with unclear words as when to stop/start to the next moves ...she knew most were still new to the class. Her words did not provide clear instructions on next steps and moves. Most in the class (arms, legs wrap) were looking at each other for the moves. She kinda assumed you knew what the moves mean and how to do it. At least the music wasn't super loud like other studios. Overall, an ok workout but I was guessing on when to push/pull or pulse or not. That's not why I went into a studio to workout. I will not continue with more classes because of this experience. Not for me.
Solidcore Mosaic is such a great studio with awesome coaches!I started recently and now have 11 classes under my belt between this studio and the one in Tyson's.I live closer to this one since it is more convenient, but I thoroughly enjoy my experience every time! I have been raving about it to my husband and friends, and got one of my gfs to join me in my Sunday workout yesterday :)Keep it up Mosaic team!
I've been going to Solidcore for quite long now through Classpass. I usually go to Reston location but there was a discount, so I tried Mosaic location. I tried this studio first time during pandemic and second time on 4/17. I really love Solidcore, but I have no idea what happened to this studio after pandemic. This studio used to be clean and perfect in everyway, but when I visited recently, it was very stuffy and no air circulation whatsoever. The temperature in the studio is wayyy high that I almost felt no oxygen. The workout itself is pretty tough, so the temperature can affect you a lot. It was way too hot in the studio that it almost felt like I was in hot yoga and it can possibly give you heat shock. I almost wanted to give 3 stars, but at least the instructors became more informative than before. They show you forms and adjust your forms and give you pretty nice encouragement, but again they gotta work on their studio before someone passes out.
