I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Premier Optometric Services and can't recommend them enough. The entire team is the perfect combination of professional and welcoming, making the whole process from check-in to check-out seamless.
I had my appointment with Dr. Melissa MacDonald, and she is an outstanding optometrist. Not only is she clearly knowledgeable and capable, but she also has a wonderfully caring approach. She listened attentively to all my questions and was genuinely invested in making sure I received the best possible care. It's rare to find a doctor who takes that much time to ensure a patient's needs are fully met. I left feeling confident...read full review
Fast and efficient service! I was quickly checked in and pre-screened by the front office staff. The doctor took the time to explain things that I didn't know or immediately understand. Most importantly, the doctor gave me practical advice for my needs and didn't push me towards spending money unnecessarily. The whole experience was great, and their office was very clean. I would highly recommend this business, and I'll certainly continue to use them in the future!
I wish all visits to the doctor's office could be like this. The office assistant/receptionist gave me an appointment reminder phone call the day before my appointment and checked me in immediately upon arrival with my new patient forms. She then sat me down to measure my eyes while explaining what each machine does specifically. Dr. MacDonald then started my contact lens exam and was friendly, quick and efficient. I sometimes feel silly/slightly stupid when the eye doctor asks "better or worse" while clicking through a couple different slides and I'm thinking to myself "umm I can't see anything at all, they're all 'worse' and blurry because I'm Stevie Wonders blind" and in fear of being judged. But, Dr. MacDonald was great and he is quite knowledgeable in what worked and what didn't. I love being educated through the process and even more, I love not having to wait around for an overbooked doc. I was in and out in just shy of 20 minutes (seriously!) with my new eye glass and contact lens prescription in hand. Granted, I did not get my eyes dilated this time so the total came out to $109. Tip: this is inside of the Fairfax Costco. Also, call and leave a message to make an appointment during busy season (back to school, holidays, weekends) as walk-ins aren't guaranteed.
