I was referred to Dr. Naveen Doki for oncology consultation due to low platelet counts. Unfortunately, my experience with him was quite negative.
During my initial visit, Dr. Doki ordered a large number of blood tests, despite having access to my recent medical records from Dr. Bommasani's office. This led to significant additional costs and unnecessary stress.

The office changed my appoint time the day prior. I arrived as instructed and when finally seen by Dr. Khosravi he was was not prepared to treat me. I am a deaf patient and had requested an interpreter, just as a I do every time I receive treatment. Just as I have many times at this facility. He began speaking to me with no ASL interpreter present. I interupted him to inform him I was deaf and couldn't understand anything he was saying. He flipped through my files and walked straigt out of the room without a further glance. A lady (nurse?) that had been with him reintereted the room a few moments later and wrote me a note, "Melissa will be with you shortly." I waited in that room for 40 minutes. I finally got up and went to the front office and asked what was going on. Dr. Khosravi's treatment of me was unprofessional. His own staff was confused as to why Dr. Khosravi didn't want to deal with me, but I've encountered discrimination and bias before because of my disability. It's not a great feeling to know that someone doesn't want to deal with you just because of the way you're born. Thanks a lot for reminding me of that Dr. Khosravi. I'm glad I drove 90 minutes and requested an interpretter in advance only to have you yet again reinforce how much I don't matter to you.

It takes a lot for someone to upset me to the point of tears, but Dr.Doki managed to do so. I came in with health questions and potential solutions for my financial barriers. He straight up told me that I was wasting his time and expressed frustration and shortness toward me. He gave me a lecture about how I was taking up seats and how my proposed solution was too much work for him . All it required was his signature! But he was too frustrated to listen to me explain that. And he lacks empathy to understand the heaviness people without a doctor's salary deal with.
