F**k this group. F the scheduling department as well. Had an issue with verifying my birthday for my scheduled appointment which I made a month and some change out. Tried calling in, and left multiple voicemails. No one contacted me to fix the issue and to confirm. They clearly don't care. The front desk didn't sound concerned either. How do they not pick up their phones, especially early in the morning. It's not busy don't give me some bs excuse.

Great experience! Dr. Huh was very knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable speaking to him about my issues. Front desk was very helpful too!

Even though records had been shared with this practice from my former physician, the doctor walked in the door with no records, and did not know one thing about me. Even though I was having symptoms, he did not examine me at all. Was told that a scheduler would contact me that week for my colonoscopy, and never received a call - yet I called every day for five days multiple times and there was no answer. In addition, the mailbox was full and you could not leave a message. When I finally spoke to the front desk she said she was one person with two phone lines , and she was doing the best that she could. I explained to her that I was very disappointed because it seemed to me that the doctor did not review my records before seeing me, and she said she would share that with the doctor. I think the doctor should’ve called me right away about my concerns . Nobody cares!

Front desk girl is horrible. She has no clue how to talk to patients, she doesn't even say good morning. I can't believe she works in a medical office which obviously bring people who need medical help. Doctor Huh seems that he is rushing you to leave the office. Not happy at all.

Dr. Huh's skill is fine for endoscopy and colonoscopy, but the anesthesiologists he's been using (Old Dominion Anesthesia LLC) for the procedures has a strange (and fishy) way of business, in which they would bill you exorbitant fees (more than $7,000 for 2 anesthetists) and send a bill telling you to call your health insurance company to pay it for them. Each and every time me and my wife had the procedures. If you don't, they will keep sending the bill, and they even notified us once they will send it to a collection agency if not paid in full. What's the issue here? Well, you tell the doctor in advance that service providers, whether it be doctor for the procedure or anesthesiologists, or the medical center where it is performed, should be in-network so the services be fully covered by my health insurance company. You are told 'don't worry.' It will be taken care of. But the Old Dominion does not participate with any health insurance plans, including mine -CIGNA. They have sent the bills to my co-workers who used the doctors who use them. We had had to call Old Dominion many a time, and also our health care insurance. The bills were taken care of by Old Dominion and the insurance after all (after over a year of the procedures), but you wouldn't want to go through this freaking out ritual every other year.

From the outset of my interaction with this front office staff, I have been misled, misguided and altogether disgusted in the manner in which I was treated. First, I was told that a referral letter that my GP sent over had not been received, which was fine, but when I asked her to call my GP's office to request another fax, I was informed that she would only be willing to do so if she could manage to find the time. Manage to find the time??The appointment for the consultation was scheduled for a MONTH out. She insinuated that it was not her job and, "how hard could it possibly be for me to bring the referral with me?" I did not have one in hand. Oh, and by the way, I have a job to do as well and it is not in the medical profession, as hers indeed is. I would imagine requesting referrals from other doctors is not outside the realm of her responsibilities. Second, I was told that the colonoscopy had been scheduled for July 11th, when in fact, it had been scheduled for the 10th. Not only had I arranged to take the 11th off, but I had arranged for transportation, which involved a dear friend taking time off work and rearranging several meetings at the pentagon in order to accommodate the mistake at quite the last moment. Third, a mysterious email that should have gone out to me explaining the procedure never materialized until the Friday before the procedure was to take place on Monday and only after my requesting the information on three different occasions. This, after insisting that the doctor should have gone over all of this with me at the consultation. Apparently, this caused some confusion and a mild meltdown. Fourth, I was lied to on Friday, July 14th when I was told that the pathology report had not yet been received, but that I could schedule a time to go over the results with Dr. Huh at any time. Well, if the report hadn't been received then how could I schedule a time to go over them with him? All I want to know is that I do not have cancer. I had a major episode of pain last Wednesday and twice on Friday night. This is beyond belief that we have yet to figure out what it is, but it hurts. A lot. Fifth, today I was told that I had, once again, been sent an email that has yet to materialize. I was informed that the pathology results had been emailed to me, when in fact they have not. I asked her to resend the results, upon which I am still waiting. I imagine yet another call will have to be made in order for them to appear. Then, I was informed that the tone I was using was unprofessional. You are gosh darn right it was and rightfully so!! There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of absolute reckless unprofessionalism, frank and rampant lack of compassion or utter incompetence. I'm sorry to say that this reflects poorly upon Dr. Huh, his practice and portends of gross negligence. I wouldn't send anyone I cared for to this practice, not based on Dr. Huh's bedside manner or even his skills as a gastroenterologist (even thought it was cool that he wore chucks while chilling on his phone before I got knocked out), but rather for not ever wanting anyone I know to be on the receiving end of this front office staff's lazy and incompetent manners.

I have yet to have my procedure done with Dr. Huh, but I agree so far with the previous reviewer from 2014, the receptionists are not very friendly especially on the phone; why hire people in a healthcare customer service position if they are unhappy in their jobs and resent you for bothering them? You are already not well and making the experience negative makes it all the worse.

I had a routine middle age procedure done by Dr Huh and Dr Park (the anesthesiologist) and was completely satisfied. My husband has had 2 of the same procedures plus 2 upper GIs done by Drs Huh and Park over the past 10 years as well. Each time, I've been very pleased with their skill and interactions. All the staff at the Chantilly office are super helpful too. The one time I visited the doctor's office in Fair Ridge, I did notice that it was small and basic and the appt. very brief, but that was fine. I already trusted them because of my husband's previous experiences. I appreciate Dr Park's sense of humor too. And I liked how the procedure room smelled of lavender or lilac, was darkened a bit, and had soothing music playing. Very comforting for a first time patient. The doctors explain things well to the non-patient afterwards too.

Dr. Huh is a knowledgeable and conscientious gastroenterologist. He is also very busy. However, the receptionists leave much to be desired. Each time I've called, I've been put on hold for five minutes. Setting an appointment is difficult. The last time I called, the receptionist asked me to hold again, after waiting five minutes. Then, the call got disconnected. When I attempted to call back, the office recording answered, saying the office closed at 5pm. It was 4:30pm; the receptionist had just put me on hold. This is par for the course in being a patient of Dr. Huh's. He needs to hire more staff, and more conscientious, responsive ones. Customer service is pretty wretched.
