Dr. Passi ordered lab work, and 1 test was flagged as not being covered by Medicare. The lab suggested I ask the ordering physician to re-submit with justification for that test After sending 3 messages & 2 phone calls, I got this response from the Triage Nurse, Ebony: "So with Medicare sometimes they will cover certain test placed by your PCP but not specialist, so you could contact your PCP to see if they could place the order and have your insurance covered first." When I replied that's not how insurance works, she doubled down and when I asked for Dr. Passi to respond directly, she agreed that I should ask another physician to order and justify the test she had ordered. Rather than argue further with Gastro Health, I'm going to seek out another practice, but I thought I'd let folks know how they operate.

Good luck getting an appointment here. Even if you're finally able to get someone to schedule you, they'll take your insurance but won't tell you it's not approved. They let you waste yours and everyone's time by showing up to the appointment to be denied. Not sure why they would call before to check my insurance information if they weren't even doing anything with it. Very unprofessional front desk person, not helpful at all. Now I will run out of my medication because I've spent MONTHS trying to get this appointment. The online appointment request is useless.

I wish I had seen these reviews before having an ESG there. 12K down the drain. It made no difference in how much I could eat and have not lost one pound. They should be in prison for medical fraud. This many BAD reviews is no error. They don't care at all and I went through the same as all the others here to voice there experience. I hope all of you filed a complaint with the physicians board in Virginia like me. I have never seen reviews like this. Like 75% and about 70% 1 Star and most say as I would, if I could give zero Stars, I would. I see most got the run around on the phone when they called the office or the Corporate office in Florida. If anyone does answer, they will again transfer your call to a voice mail and they never return a call. CareFirst told me they called Angela Green and she never called them back. This could be the beginning of a class action suit, or criminal charges. Hard to tell since I don't know why others were calling, but in my case they did a surgery but did not do it right.
