From the moment we walked in, everybody was so nice and welcoming. Very clean office & checking-in as a new patient was a breeze. Tinu and her assistant (sorry, I can’t remember her name) were absolutely amazing. They listened to our concerns (I was there with my teenage son) and after a brief, but thorough exam, Tinu gave us different treatment & medication options. We did have about a 45 min drive from Dumfries, but it was definitely worth it.
I have had MOHS skin surgery twice at the AA Dermatology = Fairfax office, 5 years apart with two different Derm surgeons and have been very happy with the results. I waited one month for my appointment with the surgeon my doctor recommended, although I could have gotten in sooner with another surgeon, The surgeons and staff were excellent. There is a large waiting area with enough room for the patients to spread out while waiting. While hoping not to need MOHS again, I highly recommend AAD.
The center is well run, clean, and efficient. The receptionist, the assistant, David, and Dr. Jonathan Smith are all professionals and act accordingly. They are kind and respectful and make you feel confident and reassured.Dr. Smith is an excellent surgeon, dermatologist and person. He is motivated by his love for his family first, for his patients, and then the practice of medicine. He is an outstanding example of the best that medicine has to offer. He calls all his patients the night of the surgery and gives you his direct cell phone.David is going to medical school...read full review
