We had an appointment, for a follow up for my daughter. Very professional, very helpful staff. Healthcare can sometimes be overwhelmed, if they were, you wouldn’t know it. Everything was very calm. We got in for our appointment very easily, and everybody was professional.
As a new resident, I was lucky to get a new patient appointment at Carilion within a month and a half, though my wife is now facing another month-plus wait.
My appointment was rescheduled (signs everywhere warn this is common), but I was seen quickly on the new date. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I’m also unhappy about being required to use the MyChart app (third-party sharing of medical info) when my digital ID wasn’t good enough? Walk-ins appear discontinued, with signs insisting on appointments for everything.
My next appointment is in a year. Hopefully I stay healthy until then.
