“We gutted an older home and totally changed everything! I mean everything. We couldn’t demolish the older house because it is in Woods Edge and the HOA would not have allowed that. I am a stickler for details and have built several nice homes previously, so I wanted a contractor that could meet my expectations. I found them. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our new old home. Just ask Derick and he can show the house to you. Recently I understand there have been some negative comments that trace back to one customer. They were upset that there cost plus contract went over the original estimate. Estimates are just that: an honest try at making an educated guess at what it will cost. You pay more for a guaranteed price since the builder is taking all risks. In this case the tariffs and inflation raised prices for raw materials ( lumber, electrical wire etc) and the original estimates made to the contractor by the subcontractors were too low. That house was also in a flood plain …you guessed it…there was a flood. So the owner blamed the contractor for a 15% overage. The internet can be a very powerful tool to do wrong in the wrong hands. Please ask to see my house before you decide on a design build team.
