This is the third summer my kids have been going to a YMCA Summer Camp and the first summer at Greenbrier and by far has been the best summer yet. Greenbrier Family YMCA has a great staff and their interaction and activities with the kids is just phenomenal! This is the first summer my kids have not asked to come home early from YMCA Summer Camp. They're both looking forward to next summer returning!
My daughter attended summer camp here for the first time this year. She is 6. I was nervous at first because she was still learning to swim and I have never not been around her while she was around water. We never ran into any problems there as they always wore life jackets. They did get swim time/water time everyday as weather permitted. There were different activity stations set so there was something to do. There were many days she would fall asleep on the way home. Okay the staff at the front desk looked at me like why am I here, no hello nothing just a blank stare walking by them until I initiated a hello!, same thing when leaving, most Ys say Have a good day, but they did nothing, but stare at me.
As far as the gym equipment half of the machines are on their last life, the instant squeaking noises are insane, they can easily all take a bottle of WD - 40, the stair steppers are awful as well as most ellipticals.
I am giving 2 stars because the women’s sauna I nice and big. The end
