Both Doctors are very professional. As well as their staff. They treat my husband for his severe chronic pain. He was in a real bad accident in 2007. They cut off his medication in 2009. He was virtually incapacitated. His surgeon recommended Blossom Pain Management in 2011. They have helped him manage his medication and his pain with great success. If it wasn't for both Doctors. DR Zhatarand and Dr Shimkis My husband would have probably lost his leg and foot. I would Highly recommend Bloosom pain management to anyone with any type of on going pain problems.
Is there seriously a ONE star review because the front desk denied a referral that was never received?
They won’t take you without a referral and your doctor didn’t send it.
You have to follow rules. The staff isn’t “making” those rules. Insurance, the state of Virginia and the Federal government are making the rules.
The staff are good and kind within the limits of the laws. The doctors are extremely competent and also have to follow rules they aren’t making but have to follow.

Dr. Zhitar has been so great to work with! He was so caring and patient with me while we tried to find solutions for my pain management after my back surgeries. The front desk staff is wonderful. Ruth Ann has treated me with so much kindness and compassion. Love this group!
