My husband had hip replacement surgery here. His experience was AMAZING! The staff goes ABOVE and BEYOND! EXCELLENT communication, doctors, personal, nurses and CARE! Everyone is very friendly, warm and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. I highly recommend!

This opened 2022 I understand. VERY impressed. I had my knee surgery 2011 at UVA Sports Medicine or whatever it was called--not that impressed except the recovery nurses were amazing. BUT THIS PLACE, it combined all the orthopedics at UVA into one building and they also have the surgery center so you don't have to go to other places, like the Battle Bldg by the UVA hospital (what a zoo that is). I LOVES that they have divided up the practices: spine, hand, etc. into separate areas. VERY impressed with the hand doctor I saw yesterday, Aaron Freelich. So knowledgeable, and like so many "why didn't I go here FIRST for surgery" instead of having them fixed the botched surgery? Worth traveling, getting a hotel and just doing it right. Registering, checking in quick, a little waiting (but who cares if you get the best), and a RELIF that someone knows anatomy. Do it.
