About Sidetracks Music
Sidetracks Music is a delightful record store located a block off Charlottesville's Downtown Mall. The store offers a wide selection of CDs, cassette tapes, vinyls, and refurbished analog and early digital equipment from various artists. Additionally, there are vintage trinkets such as band posters, second-hand books, and Tees available. The owner, Cal, is knowledgeable and provides excellent service, making it a true labor of love to preserve the art and its original medium. The staff is friendly, and it's worth visiting, especially during Record Store Day.
Eclectic, fun, cozy little shop with a ton of records, CDs, and cassettes. Some refurbished record players, boom boxes and other machines on offer depending on when you come in! The owner is very cool and knowledgeable if you feel like a chat.
Visiting a friend and stopped by the shop, impressive collection of records at reasonable prices. Walked out with several Mofi records, owner was friendly and knowledgeable. Look forward to going back next time I'm in town!
We visited for the first time yesterday and were so pleasantly surprised. They have a great range of new and used vinyl, DVDs, cd, and cassettes. There is some awesome artwork displayed on the walls and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to do more digging in the future! Don’t miss this old school gem.
