I like the amount and level of instruction Julia gives. My mind wanders & interjects when there is not a flow of instruction or we're offered choices. Julia encourages; lets you know what we're working towards and steps along the way so everyone can do their best, Julia gives little helping hints of things I can try that make my experience different. She tells me things I haven't tried that can change my practice. Julia is a joy!
I am so happy I found this place! I’m in Charlottesville for a couple weeks for work and was thrilled to discover their two week pass for new customers. I’ve been taking full advantage because this place is amazing. The classes are challenging but all fitness levels are welcomed. I’ve done the bikram, heated vinyasa, and inferno Pilates and all have been an amazing workout. The instructors are all fantastic and they take the time to learn who you are. Definitely come here if you’re thinking about it. The energy is incredible.
I've been practicing hot yoga for over ten years and HYC has some of the best instructors (read: artists) I've ever found. Their vinyasa sequences are personalized, creative, thorough, challenging, and seem to change every time you come in. I've had a dozen flows where the instructor will sync up (intentionally or not we will never know) their directions to the cadence of the music which is absolute ? Important to note that they do indeed cater to a more advanced level, which is why one should take to heart when they tell you to take breaks as you need them, ain't no sweat (jk, all the sweat)
