Working out isn’t necessarily fun or easy for me. In my 50s I just have to do more of it and stay consistent. I recently tried Elite group training. If you are looking for small group training, walk into the gym and have everything ready for your workout, ask questions, have workout modified because this or that hurts, this is the place. Very friendly people. Trainers are really educated and they are very good for explaining stuff. To top it all off I can come to the same place for recovery, like for a massage, or acupuncture. This place is a gem in the community you need to try out and discover.
Long but meaningful review...It is so hard to find personal trainers that understand how a woman in her 60s trains differently than a woman in her 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s. At 60, I found myself living in someone else's body. I had an injury and neck pain. Ben (love/hate) got my neck all squared away. Anthony (love) fine-tuned my workouts to improve overall strength. I saw progress very quickly under his instruction and from Ben (love/hate). Elite are very sensitive to my low self-image (almost in tears most visits). Then I lost my job. I recently had my third acupuncture session with a massage for my neck tightness from working out. Bahar was an amazing therapist with her impressive credentials and skills. She listened and asked questions about my issues. Recommended the combination of massage and acupuncture. Wow! Just like the trainers, the massage therapists at this place are top-notch. Based on Bahar's recommendations, I had 3 sessions of this treatment, and my neck pain and tightness have been improving.
