I recently hired Heart of Wood Tree Service to grind a stump from a small tree that my husband removed. When the owner, Thomas, came to look at the stump, he also recommended that the very overgrown holly bushes in the front of our yard needed pruning and noticed tree limbs growing onto our roof. He gave us the information and estimate but we did not feel pressured at all to include work beyond the initial request for the stump. We appreciated his expertise and decided to contract for all three. From the start, working with Thomas was smooth and easy. He was very responsive to questions. His crew did a great job, cleared away all the branches and left our yard looking great. I highly recommend this business. A plus for us was he is a local business which we always like to support if we can. Hire them, you won't regret it!

We had bamboo and other trees located in a difficult place behind our garage. They removed it in less than 2 days. Super communicative, friendly, and reliable. Highly recommend.

Thomas and his crew have always done an honest, amazing job, at reasonable cost, and I can’t tell you how much we appreciate that. Thomas is transparent in his recommendations, identifying risk but not over-exaggerating either. He also understands the $ cost and emotional attachment that might come with having to take a tree down, and has a wealth of creative suggestions to mitigate both concerns. He is fast responding to emergency requests, and he and his crew take the time to asses/recommend but also listen to ensure that any work is agreed on ahead of time -If his crew has questions, they ask. There are a bunch of other places we’ve gotten quotes (or heard of from neighbors etc.) over the years and it’s really shocking. Over-pricing and just trying to upsell everything, do unnecessary work, etc. - It’s not sustainable and I always feel insulted. I’ll always choose and return to Heart of Wood. 🙏🏻

Thomas is an absolute tree guru. He quickly walked through our yard and knew the varietal of every tree and identified ones that needed care. He showed up right on time and provided a quote on the spot. His crew were all experts and very courteous. They gracefully removed a large tree in our front yard as well as a few smaller ones in the back. They cleaned up meticulously. I would highly recommend!

I can’t believe how amazing this company was. They came to visit to provide an estimate almost immediately. Then they texted the years of service of each of the people that would be working on our tree. They also noticed that we had another sick little tree and offered to fix it for free as they removed our dead giant oak tree. They were fast and the cleanup was the best I’ve ever seen. I collected four quotes for this job and I’m so happy I went with Heart Of Wood!!!!
