“I was looking for a contractor to repair storm damage to my home. We needed a contractor that would file permits and take on a job that was less than $50,000. Our roof had damage that most roofers will not touch as rafters needed to be repaired. We had some internal damage too. I came across Capitol Builders through a search on the internet. They came, listened and quickly provided a quote. My only hesitation, I was not seeing current reviews online and it made me doubt that I could trust this company. All I can say Martir the owner spoke to me about my concerns and earned my trust. The craftspeople that he employees are some of the best I have ever seen and we had our entire house gutted when we bought it so I have seen a lot of good and bad work. Martir filed the permits and got to work. Each day another worker showed up to repair my home. Martir was orchestrating the flow of workers very efficiently. I could not be happier with the quality of the work being done, the communication and the value that Capitol Builders provide. “We used NV to do a 2nd story addition on our raised rambler. I got 5 bids from 5 builders and NV design was one of the only companies not to bid a completely different job than requested; which I greatly appreciated!The design process with NV was simple, we went back and forth a few times to iron out details and then sent the design to Arlington for permits.The build process was estimated at 14 weeks and we completed in 16 weeks (which is honestly awesome! I've done other large renos on other properties and NV's timeline was very reasonable!). This included me asking to change the interior door type which themselves took 4 weeks to build from the manufacturer (I want to highlight how well they did by coming in so close to estimate!!!)The finished product is amazing, the build quality was great, the subs on site cleaned up well, our GC was great, and it really turned out well!Have them bid your project!“

“Vit Miska, the VP from TLC Construction worked with us. He did an outstanding job! He gave us suggestions for our kitchen remodel, which we had never thought of and we absolutely love the way it turned out! It really opened up the kitchen to eating area & family room and he gave me added storage space by suggesting much better placement of cabinets. I was hesitant to make changes but so glad that we took the advice of this experienced builder.The cabinet installer and Carpenter that Vit sent out was a perfectionist and we saw the extra effort he put thru to get everything just right. We initially just brought Vit in for the kitchen remodel and ended up having them redo all the flooring on the first level. For so long I had been in a query over what to do with the hardwoods in the large open foyer b/c I could not find perfect shade to update to. He had his experienced specialist come out and instead of having to chose from sample shades at numerous flooring stores we had visited- Vit suggested putting in unstained hardwoods into the foyer and customizing them to a shade closer to what I had been searching for for years. It looked marvelous and we had Vit’s company/ TLC do rest of flooring throughout. On upper level- I love the suggestion that his carpet expert gave for stairway - which gave it more of an upscale look. Vit’s company also did work in lower level bedroom & repainted the lower level. We ended up having his painters do work on all 3 levels and the painters we got were were very friendly and experienced. His drywall specialist has a good eye and doing work in basement- we had him him go thru the entire house and he took care of all nail pops in ceiling and touched up sun room where needed. He was the best. We liked all the work so much and the granite suppliers his company utilizes that had vast selections to chose from. After making selection for kitchen granite - we decided to also have TLC also change all bathroom sinks over to granite. The company they use to cut the granite was great and helped w/ outlay utilizing the best prime sections of the slabs and it turned out great and the installers did a fantastic job. We just loved the work that his ceramic flooring installers did in the kitchen and Vit was able to manage to also still work in getting ceramic flooring also done in bathrooms. The jobs his installers did in the kitchen, eat in and family room was great. Those fellows were his other specialist that also did the backsplash installations- they were very good, friendly and professional.All the work done turned out great! We turned out calling Vit back just recently to have roof replaced thru his Clarity Windows& Roofing company and he exceeded our expectations by producing & delivering an exceptional product within promised time. We loved the suggestions Vit made to move to architectural shingles and the change to the color blend made such a big improvement. The installers that we got from his company were very professional and the job was completed sooner than promised. We were exceeding happy with Vit’s Clarity division and all of his professionalism.“
