I was able to schedule an appointment within 24 hours, which was very responsive compared to other vets in Mount Vernon. Dr. Miller & Dr. Owel were professional and kind via phone. They both carefully explained the diagnosis, processes, and treatment. I like that they emailed me the medical documents after the visit. This vet office is organized, responsive to customer care, and time-efficient. I would recommend this office to anyone seeking a caring and careful vet. Their staff are very helpful and courteous as well.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with them as a vet and as a boarding option for my 4 year old Lab. There may be better options, but if you go with Mt. Vernon Animal Hospital, you won’t feel the need to look for other options, because they’re on point!

Great place. Good with the animals and very reasonably priced. They don’t try to upsell you or gouge you with all kinds of tests.

Top notch vet, without a doubt. We've taken our pets (A cat and a dog) there for over a decade and trust their advice implicity. Everyone genuinely cares about the animals they see and their care has a no-nonsense, what is best for your pet approach I appreciate. I just got back from my first visit at the clinic. I could not be more pleased. The staff and facility are excellent. My dog struggles at the vet. They did not flinch at providing him. The extra comfort measures. He needed to complete a thorough exam. The prices were more than fair. However, what I appreciated most was the honest feedback about the quality of the vaccines but most clinics push without hesitation. I was tremendously surprised at the concern for an animals, long-term well-being with the quality of preventatives and I was tickled pink when the doctor did not turn up her nose at my dogs homemade food. Instead of condemning me for making my dog food every day, I was invited to learn about how I can do a better job of it while also being complimented for what I was doing right. There was no shaming. There was no consternation and there was no demeaning. There was no air of superiority just a patient owner doctortriad that was helpful and kind with attention towards the most natural processes rather than the most invasive ones. 10 of 10 will recommend 100%. Zeke and I will be back.

I have been going to the Mount Vernon Animal Hospital for years.... Yesterday I took Maggie my Beagle in for a Heartworm plus Tick Borne testing and was allowed to add a nail trim. While there, Dr. Owel recognized Maggie had an ear ache, tested a spot I was concerned about, provided medical prescriptions and supplies..... She went above and beyond to ensure Maggie received the best care ever.... The staff checked me out quickly, were very professional and friendly as usual... It was a great visit and I wanted to share it because our fur babies are important to us... Dr. Miller is also at this practice and provides the same outstanding service....

We have been taking our two Danes to this vet clinic since 2019. Everyone from the Veterinarians to the receptionist are amazing. They take the care of your pet serious and will do what they can to fit you. Prices are reasonable compared to places I have called around to, in the area. Love that they offer a holistic approach to care as well. Highly recommend.
